Tiger Dragons

Connor had his first soccer practice this past week.  He met his coaches, played a few games, and named his team.  Tiger Dragons was the unanimous vote, minus one girl who wanted Koala Bears. :)  On the way home Connor informed us that his favorite parts were the pirate game they played and the water break.  My favorite part was watching Connor jump up and down in joy every time he got the ball in the goal.  I LOVE his enthusiasm!  Hopefully it will be that easy to score when there is actually a goalie in place. :)

The Past Few Weeks

Surprise!  I actually have a post up for those of you who haven' given up on me yet.  To say that this month has been busy would be an under statement.  We have lots of exciting things happening, but not much time to stop and share.  So here is a recap of what we have been up to lately.

Since the beginning of the year a friend and I have been alternating Tuesdays for teaching our kids.  Connor and Emily love getting to have school together.  Valentine's Day was one of our days to host school so we turned  it in to a Valentine's celebration.
Connor helped me hang up a few decorations and we made homemade pizzas for lunch.  The kids loved getting to make their own creations.  Even Jackson and Carson got in on the fun!
These two cuties waiting patiently for their pizzas to be ready.
Another big event in our family is that we have officially signed Connor up for a 3-day preschool this fall.  He is SO excited!  I snapped this picture before we headed to turn in his paperwork.  Don't you just love how proud he looks?
Most of you probably already know, but our house is under contract so we have been busy moving and packing.  I had to take one last picture of the boys in their first home before we left.
A HUGE thank you goes out to Mimi!  She has been such a big help to us with the boys during all of this.  We could not have done it without her!
Our closing is next week so hopefully after that things will be slowing down and I'll be back with more!  Enjoy your weekend!

Sesame Street Live

Connor got a special treat when Nana and Poppa took him to see Elmo at Sesame Street Live!  He was so excited to go and had a great time!  Cheryl was sweet to send us some pictures on her phone so we could see all the fun.

He had so much to tell us when he got home and talked about all of it for days!  Thanks Nana and Poppa for taking him!

Happy 16 Months, Carson!

I am 16 months old!
What Carson has been up to this month:

-Walking and climbing all over the place

-Babbles a lot!  He makes all kind of noises and looks at you like you should know what he is talking about. He has a few words that he says very clearly and keeps on trying to add new ones.  Even without saying much he definitely gets his message across.

-Following his brother around everywhere Connor will let him.

-Loves to read books, but still has one particular favorite that he reads almost every day.

-Becoming a little bit picky about what he eats, so I have found new ways to get those fruits and vegetables in.

-Can be really shy and quiet one minute and then yelling happily the next.

-Carson is still my oberver.  He sits back and takes everything in.

-Gives the sweetest hugs and kisses!  He loves to snuggle.

Happy 16 Months Carson!

Monday

Our week started off with a trip to Little Gym for Connor's first "Mini Jacks" class.  We bought a groupon that is good for 4 classes so he will get to enjoy going for the month of February.  Each week they learn about a different sport.  This week he learned about several track and field events.  Connor amazed me with how well he listened to the teacher and followed all the directions.  I was so proud of him!
After the gym, we headed to Torchy's Tacos for some lunch.
Plus a trip to Lowe's to look at a few things.
Connor thought the lawn mowers were pretty cool too!
Monday night turned out to be a monumental night for Carson.  On a whim I decided to take his pacifier away.  Let me start with saying we have had a good thing going.  Carson has really never fussed about going down for naps or bed.  I could put him in the crib at almost any time and he would happily comply.  It was a dream come true!  I never really knew if it was his love of sleep or the paci that keep him so happy, but i am now leaning more towards the paci.  He fussed for about 10 minutes and then went to sleep.  Tuesday on the other hand has been a different story.  Instead of 2 or 3 naps he slept for 30 minutes!  He went to bed just fine so maybe tomorrow will be better.  No looking back now! :)

Everyday Life

I thought I would give you a small glimpse into life with Little C.

9:30 AM- Attempt to ride Connor's big wheels.
9:32 AM- Play with the bear house.  Opening and closing the windows became a silly game both enjoyed.
9:35 AM- Empties out Mommy's purse
9:36 AM- Tries to escape to the front yard.
9:37 AM- Several attempts made to open the laptop.  Banging on the keys looks like so much fun!
9:39 AM- Headed back to see what Connor was up to.  Did a little head patting to get his attention.
9:40 AM- Waited a safe distance away to see if his plan worked.
9:41 AM- Connor still ignored him so maybe banging some bears on his back will get him to pay attention.
There, that seemed to work.
Let the roughhousing begin. :)
It is all smiles and laughs...
until Carson decides he is done.
9:43 AM- One more trip to the remote drawer before his morning nap.
Oh how thankful I am to share these simple moments with him each and every day!

Be Mine

Can you believe that February is already here?  My boys modeled their new Valentine's shirts last week so I could snap some pictures for a photoshop class I was attending.  During the class, we made Valentine's Day cards so these pictures were the perfect addition.   You may be seeing some of these on a card from these sweet boys, but they were too cute not to share!
