Big Boy Bed

For months I had been dreaming about some bunk beds at Pottery Barn Kids, but quickly came back to reality with every glance at their price tag.  After some more shopping around and searching I found the perfect set of twin beds on craigslist.  The boys were so excited when we got home that we decided to go ahead and set one up in Carson's room.  I had no intention of moving him out of the crib until we moved in a few months.  Little boy on the other hand had different plans.
Carson has always been my climber, but had only attempted to climb out of the crib once which ended in a nice bump on the head.  He never tried again after that until this past week.  He has now mastered climbing out and safely lowering himself to the ground.  He showed off his skills 3 times during nap one day and I knew it was time to make the switch.

After bath that night he ran and got in his new bed with a huge smile on his face.  It took about 3 days to figure it all out, but I am thrilled at how well he is doing.  Carson now is taking naps and sleeping all night in his bed without getting up.  Praying it continues that way!
He is growing up so fast!

Happy New Years: Minute To Win It Style

On New Year's Eve Mimi hosted a snowman party for all the boys.  We found the cutest game ideas here and knew that the boys would have a blast!  Thankfully we had almost all the materials we needed  and got busy putting a few things together.  First up was the Snow Ball Bounce.  They had to see how long they could keep the balloon up in the air using their snowman paddle.
Next up was the Jingle Bell Rock.  They had to see how many jingle bells they could dance out of the tissue box in one minute.
This was my favorite because I loved seeing their sweet smiles while they danced around.
Connor loved the Wrap Race.  You had to wrap your partner in toilet paper and dress him like a snowman.  It is harder than it looks!
All three boys got to take a turn being the snowman.
The final game of the night was Snow Throw.  We all had marshmallows and tried to get it in the bucket.  Mimi was a great sport and offered to be the target.
I'm pretty sure this was a fan favorite.  Who doesn't love a game where you can throw marshmallows and eat them?! :)
