Getting Ready for Easter

I am so excited that it is almost Easter! Connor is now old enough that I think he is going to really enjoy hunting for eggs this year. After searching for the perfect outfit for our little guy to wear this Sunday I finally found something at Orient Expressed. Its a blue shortall with 2 interchangeable tabs. One tab has Easter bunnies on it while the other tab is personalized with his monogram. I love the classic/traditional look of this and can't wait for him to wear it!
Here is a sneak peak of him while we were trying it on. Can you believe that we had to order him a 4T?! (Their sizes tend to run a little small)

Backyard Fun

We had such great weather on Tuesday that we decided to have a picnic in the backyard for dinner. I laid out a blanket for Connor who was thrilled to have the freedom to move around while he ate. He would sit and eat a few bites and then just take off running. He was definitely not use to having the option to get up during dinner and took full advantage of it! :) He played on his swing set for a long time and then we got out his tractor and t-ball set. By the end of the night he was covered in grass and dirt, but loved every minute of it!

Rodeo and a Trip to Mimi's

Friday night Cole and I headed to the Austin Rodeo with some free tickets given to Cole by one of his vendors at work. They gave us tickets to the rodeo, concert, and to the Founder's Club. After not being too impressed by what was offered up in the club we decided to be brave and find something to eat at the fair. I think it was the most expensive turkey leg, corn dog, and glass of tea we have ever had! (at least our tickets were free!) :) After that we headed inside to watch all the events. This was my favorite part of the evening. I love watching all the horses and especially enjoyed watching the mutton busting, even though I don't ever think I want Connor doing that! We ended up leaving a little earlier because we both were still starving and ready for some real food!
We weren't the only ones having a great night. Connor got a special treat and was able to spend the night at Mimi's. (Did I mention how nice it was to sleep in on Saturday morning?) :) Mom was great about taking pictures so I could see all the fun they had. They did all of Connor's favorite things... play, eat, take a bath, play, go "up the stairs", and play some more! He loves spending time with his Mimi! Thanks Mom for letting us have a night out!

Beautiful Day

Today was a perfect day for the park! The sun was out and we were all starting to feel a little better so we headed over to Mimi's neighborhood park. On our way there we picked up some sandwiches for a picnic. Of course Connor was thrilled to be outside and loved the playground.
Such a big boy!
Free to play!
He kept saying "Hi Ma... Hi Mi" I think just to make sure we were watching him play on the "big boy" playground.
For awhile all he wanted to do was walk around the top, but then I talked him into sliding down with me. He LOVED it! I think he went about 20 more times at least.
He walked up the stairs...
....and down the slide!
Before we left we got out the bubbles.
I just love this time of year and can't wait for more beautiful days to play outside!

Fun Visits

About two weeks ago Kate came down for a visit to Austin while Amy and David went on a trip for the weekend. Kate stayed with Nana and Poppa, but we were able to watch Kate on Friday while Nana was at school. We all had a great time and it was fun to watch the two of them play together.

They both thought it was so funny to hold hands at dinner. :)
That weekend we also took a trip up to Temple to have dinner with Lee, Sally, and Jenna. We had a great time catching up and getting to see how much Jenna has grown. She is absolutely precious and gives the sweetest smiles! Thanks for having us over!

Happy 21 Months Connor!

Here is what Connor has been up to this past month:

-Making short sentences

-Shortens every ones name. Right now I am "Ma" and Cole is "Da"

-Trains, trains, and more trains "choo choo"

-Loves to laugh and be silly

-Can sing the alphabet song almost all the way through. He usually leaves out "l m n"

-Sings along with his Praise Baby DVD while we are in the car. (One of my new favorites) :) It is amazing how many of the words he already knows.

-LOVES to go play in the nursery at church

-Likes routines and knows them well

-Getting several new teeth. I think he has about 14 or 15 right now.

-Runs and climbs everywhere!

Only 3 more months until my baby boy is 2!

Sesame Street Live

I have been on a blogging break, but am finally getting these pictures up from our day at Sesame Street Live. For Valentine's Day we gave Connor tickets to go see Elmo. We weren't really sure what Connor would think about seeing everything "live", but we all actually had a really great time. It was a cute show that was just the perfect length of time. Connor was mesmerized by all the singing and dancing. He spent most of his time clapping, cheering, and shouting "Elmo!" Our seats were great because we had a rail right in front of us so Connor could stand up and even do a little dancing. :)

Connor and Cole in front of the Erwin Center.
Connor's favorite of course was Elmo.
This was at the beginning of the show... you can tell he is trying to figure it all out!
"Yay!!!!"

While we were waiting for the show they had music playing in the background that Connor seemed to really enjoy. :)
I'm so glad we had a chance to go!
