The boys threw on their green shirts and headed to the kitchen for a little morning surprise. After a quick trip to the grocery store the night before to buy some Lucky Charms, I quickly threw together a breakfast I knew they would be sure to love! I mean what little boy wouldn't want sugar for breakfast? :) Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Thanksgiving 2013
Our Thanksgiving this year didn't go exactly as planned. We had all just recovered from a bad virus the week before, but Carson seemed to be coming down with another one. As soon as the boys woke up, Connor requested "turkey" pancakes like we had made the year before.
Connor grabbed the pretzels and made a few additions that turned out pretty cute.
After we finished breakfast, I noticed Carson's eyes were pink and started searching for an after hours clinic that might be open on the holiday. We thankfully got one of the last appointments and left an hour later with an antibiotic for ear infections and eye drops for pink eye. Fun fun!

Poor little guy was miserable, but still looked cute in his turkey shirt!

We cancelled our plans with family and spent the afternoon just hanging out at the house.
We had some fun making these cute turkey cookies too.
Nana and Poppa stopped by for a quick visit and joined in on the fun too.
With a last minute trip to the grocery store, I grabbed a few things to make our own Thanksgiving meal at home.
It turned out to be a great Thanksgiving at home after all.

Elmo, Soccer, and Mother's Day
Friday morning we headed to a birthday party for our friend Tara.
She was turning 3 and had a fun Sesame Street themed party.
Elmo even made a surprise appearance at the party.
On Saturday the Tiger Dragons had their last game. For some reason the other team did not show so the dads helped lead a 2 on 2 scrimmage. They loved it because they all got to make tons of goals. It was the perfect end to a great season.
My Mother's Day started off with lots of sweet hugs and kisses. Then I came downstairs to find some beautiful flowers and a pancake breakfast.
I have the best job in the world getting to be "Mommy" to these two boys.
After church we headed out to the Salt Lick with Nana and Poppa. Cole and I are blessed to have 2 amazing moms!
Apparently looking at the camera and smiling was optional today. :)
It was a great Mother's Day!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend too!

Christmas with Nana and Poppa
Our Christmas day ended and Nana and Poppa's house. We headed out that afternoon for lots of fun with family, presents, and a wonderful dinner.

Carson loves his uncles and made his way over to David as fast as he could. It was so cute to see how happy he was to just sit in his lap!
The kids had tons of fun opening their presents.
Connor loves to pretend play so these dress up clothes were perfect for him.
He loves his football helmet!
Carson and Hannah were too cute playing the piano together. It is so fun to have cousins to play with!
Grandmommy and Mimi joined us for dinner. Everything was so good! It was a fun evening and the perfect way to end our Christmas day.

Christmas with Mimi
After we got ready we headed to mom's house. Connor walked in to find this puppet theater from Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rachel and immediately starting putting on a show for us. He LOVES to entertain.
It was a special treat to have Kevin, Rachel and Owen there with us. Especially being able to spend time with Owen on his first Christmas.
Carson absolutely adores Kevin. He would snuggle up next to him any chance he had.
Carson also got lots of fun new things!
Mimi got the boys these matching pjs that were perfect for Christmas morning.
Taking inventory of what Carson is opening. :)
Mimi gave Connor and Carson a Wii for Christmas and I think ALL of my boys were equally as excited!
After opening gifts we enjoyed a wonderful lunch that mom had made for us. So thankful to have my family all together. I think that is one of my favorite parts of Christmas!

Christmas Morning
I am back from my blogging break to finish up all of our Christmas fun and hopefully be a little better about posting. :) It is great to be able to share our adventures with family far away and I know one day I will be so thankful to have this "scrapbook" to look back on our fun.
Christmas day started early for us. Connor could barely sleep because he was so excited about Santa coming. At 2:00 am he even sent me a little message over the monitor asking if Santa had already been there. Thankfully he did not go out and look because I don't think I could have kept him away!
Connor came to our room about 6:30 and laid in bed with us until we finally woke Carson up about 7:30. They were both a little sleepy, but still so excited to see their surprises Santa left.
Connor got a new Ch.ugginton train track and some books and Santa left Carson a new kitchen.
My boys love their routines and Carson did not see why Christmas was a reason to not have his breakfast as soon as he was up.
Apparently if you don't have an extra hand you can just carry your cup around in your mouth.
The boys also got to open up their present from us. We decided to have 1 gift from us and 1 gift and a stocking from Santa which worked out perfect.
If only this picture had sound!
After everything was opened, Carson headed back to bed for a quick nap, Connor played with his trains and we got ready to head out for Christmas with our families.

Christmas Eve 2011
We spent Christmas Eve at Mimi's making a birthday cookie for Jesus...
playing with this cute boy...
eating chili and lots of sweet treats for dinner...
taking some family photos...
attending the Christmas Eve service at our church...
leaving cookies out for Santa...
adding a little chocolate to Santa's milk...
anticipating Santa's arrival...
and being thankful for all that the Lord has blessed us with!
Especially these two sweet boys!
Can you believe how much they have grown in one short year?!
