Go Texans!

Connor finished his first season of flag football at the Y.  He loved learning about the game and getting coached by his Daddy. :)  It was a great season!

Back to School

Summer has come and gone and around here we are getting ready for that first school bell to ring.  Somehow I blinked and my "baby" is in First Grade!  He is thrilled about being back on campus, his new teacher, seeing his friends, and everything else that comes with school.  (Well, maybe not the homework.) :)  As in the past, we headed up a few days early to snap some photos.  Let me just say that not having to dodge the hundreds of people who show up on the first day on what is already a busy morning has been a life saver.  I get those sweet smiles and he actually looks at the camera instead of which friend might be walking up the sidewalk. :)

Tiger Basketball

Connor spent 8 weeks at the beginning of the year learning the game of basketball.  It quickly became one of his favorite sports.  He was also pretty excited to have his Daddy be the coach. :)
It was amazing to see how much these boys improved throughout the weeks.
Dribbling, shooting, passing, and working together as a team were just a few of the skills these boys learned.
After our last game we had a team celebration complete with sweet treats.
Cole also presented each player with a medal to celebrate the end of the season.
Connor, William, Marshall, Hudson, Anthony, and Scott
It was a great season.  Go Tigers!

Go Connor!

Momma Lou came to spend the week with us and we had a wonderful time.  Connor was thrilled that Papaw came to town at the end of the week and they were both able to come to his basketball game.  He is one blessed boy to have so many grandparents come cheer him on!

Math Whiz

Christmas break was over and it was time to head back to school.  Kindergarten had an awards assembly where each child was presented an award based on teacher and class vote.  Connor was presented with the Math Whiz award for excelling in math.  The kids loved being recognized and it was so cute to watch them walk across the stage.  So fun!

Let's Go Pirates!

This was Connor's first season to play Tball and he was thrilled!  Once he found out he was on the same team with a few friends from preschool he couldn't wait to get started.  Over the past few months we have had a LOT of games, but through it all the boys have learned so much and really come so far from where they started.
Some of my favorite lessons that were learned by a certain little boy have been: 1. Saving hugs for the end of the game only and not after every time a play is made. 2. Just because you are out in the field not close to anyone doesn't mean you have to stop talking, you just have to talk louder. (HA!) 3. Before you hit the ball of the tee be sure to tell coach every person who is in the stands watching you. Oh and be sure to stop and give a wave. :)
Our regular season has ended and all that stands between us and free weekends that coveted trophy is the end of season tournament.  Let's go Pirates!  We love you #1!

Preschool Graduation

We celebrated Connor's last day of preschool with a special program at his school. It feels like yesterday I was dropping him off for his first day.  This year has flown by!
As his class was walking down the isle toward the stage, his face just lit up with excitement!
He was so proud and knew that all his "fans" in the audience were just as proud! :)
During the program they sang a few songs (ABC Rock, Butterfly Song, and Jesus Loves Me).
ABC Rock definitely was his favorite!
After their performance, Ms. Goff presented them with their preschool diplomas and a cross key chain.
 Celebrating with our graduate afterwards!
Mimi, Nana, and Poppa also came to join in on the fun.
There are so many ways God blessed Connor's year at preschool and one of them was with sweet friends like Hudson and Harper.
Love this boy so much! Ready or not Kindergarten, here we come!
