Another very special person had a birthday last weekend. On Sunday we headed out to Dripping Springs to celebrate with Poppa. Connor was so excited about going to "Poppa's birthday party." Amy and the girls were in town for the week so it was an extra bonus to get to hang out some more with them as well. Kate and Connor had fun helping Nana decorate some cupcakes that we had for dessert. Happy Birthday, Poppa! We love you very much!

Happy Birthday, Nannie!
Last Saturday we traveled up to Colleyville to celebrate Nannie's birthday. We had a great time visiting and getting to hang out with everyone.

All the cousins had a blast getting to run around and play. They all especially loved when Uncle Bill got out the bubbles.

Sweet Hannah
Connor surprised us when he asked to pet the dog. Pepper looks more interested in Carson's snack. :)

Happy 18 Months, Carson!
Can't believe my little baby is already 1 1/2 years old!
Here is what Mr. Carson has been up to this month:
34 1/4 inches tall
31 lbs 12oz
-Always on the go, but still loves to stop and snuggle.
Talking more and more every day. One of my favorite things he says right now is "Bye, see you" every time he leaves the room. He also has become a big fan of the word "no." :)
Loves to be with people, but doesn't necessarily want to be the center of attention.
Climbs and pulls up on anything he can find. This boy has no fear!
Loves to be outside!
Enjoys helping out whether it is cleaning up or folding laundry. He wants to be right in the middle of things.
Can open doors now which has made it really convenient for him when he wants a "nack" (snack). I am constantly having to return cereal boxes back to the pantry after he comes out begging for a snack. I guess it is time to get the door locks back out. :)
Very responsive to correction. So far he is not one to keep pushing the limits.
I know I say this all the time, but he is his brothers number one fan! Carson absolutely adores Connor and wants to be with him all the time. Connor is also enjoying having Carson more mobile and verbal.
Carson is one tough little boy. There is not much that phases him.
If he is on the go, he is usually running as fast as those little legs will take him!
We love you Carson Michael!

Easter 2012: Nana & Poppa's House
After a few naps we headed out to Nana and Poppa's for Easter dinner. Grandmommy, Coleman and Jeanne were there to celebrate too. Connor put a new spin on egg hunting and used the tractor to travel from egg to egg.
Carson wanted to go for a ride so bad so we strapped him in and off they went!
Nana and Poppa with the boys
Nana helped Carson find a few eggs.
I love my sweet family!
Big brother took his responsibility of keeping Carson safe very seriously. He had to get that seat belt just right!
After some fun outside we ended the day with a great dinner. Thanks Nana and Poppa for having us all out!
Easter 2012: Lost Pines
We started our Easter morning with the early service at church. This was Connor's first year to join us in the service. He loved the music and said "every time I hear music it makes me want to dance!" Which he did. :)
After church we were treated to a special brunch at Lost Pines. Thank you, Mimi!
We made it there just in time for the egg hunt.
They split it up by age group which was great for my boys who liked to take their time finding eggs.
It didn't take long for Carson to realize there was candy in the eggs.
The boys were too busy checking out the candy to pose.
Carson loves being silly with his Mimi.
After the egg hunt, we had just enough time for a game of horseshoes.
This was our second year to have Easter brunch out here. It is very kid friendly which is probably my favorite part. We love Lost Pines! Sometimes I think I would be happy just moving there. :)
Easter 2012: Fun at Home
This year Connor really enjoyed dying Easter eggs. His favorite part was using the stickers that came with the kit to decorate.
We gave Carson some plastic eggs to play with while he watched. I'm pretty sure more of the dye would of ended up on him than the eggs if we let him help. Maybe next year, Carson. :)
After we dyed the eggs the boys had an egg hunt in the backyard.
Once all the eggs were found, Daddy took everyone on a little car ride.
This is how Carson felt when it wasn't his turn anymore. :)
We ended our day with a little taste testing of the Easter cookies we made. Connor wanted a picture of him with icing all over his face. Silly boy!
Speaking of baking, I made this "Easter Egg" fruit pizza for breakfast on Easter morning. I thought it turned out so cute!
Happy Easter from the Hayden boys!

Owen's Birthday Weekend: Part 4
On Sunday we all headed to the park for Owen's 1st birthday party. Rachel did a fabulous job on all the planning. So much love was put in to every detail!
After everything was set up, Owen got a quick pre-party bottle before his guests arrived. :)
Taking a few bites of birthday cake.
The park was the perfect place to have a party. The kids loved swinging and running around.
Rachel also had a table set up for the kids to paint a wooden animal. Connor loved getting to paint and has now placed them proudly in his bedroom. Check out those cute aprons she made for the party too!
After every one got a nap we had an after party back at the apartment. We all got to spend some time with the birthday boy and watch him open up a few presents.
Happy 1st Birthday, Owen! We all love you very much!
