Great Grandparents

The boys and I were thrilled when it all worked out for us to head to Texarkana with Mimi for an early Christmas celebration.  On Saturday we headed over to Papa and Ginny's for a visit.
It took no time at all for the boys to get busy opening presents.
They were so excited about all their new things!
We all enjoyed getting to visit with Papa and Ginny.
It also was a nice surprise to see Ashley and Mark who came down for the day.
Mom, Papa, and Uncle Mark
Super Hero Carson loved snuggling up with Ginny to read a book.
Later that day we headed back over to Momma Lou and Ed's house for some more celebrating.
It is a rare moment when this one will sit still long enough to be held, but he was perfectly content snuggling up in Momma Lou's lap!
The boys had a great time checking out their new things and spending time with Momma Lou and Ed.
On Sunday we spent some time baking our favorite Christmas cookies.
The boys loved getting the decorate the cookies.  Carson went with "the more the merrier" method while Connor took his time to get each cookie just right.  Thanks Momma Lou and Ed for letting us use your kitchen.  Hopefully we didn't leave any sprinkles behind!
As always we had a wonderful time getting to be with family.  I am so thankful that even though we live hundreds of miles away, we still get to have this special time with all of our great grandparents!

Trip to Momma Lou and Ed's House

We spent the rest of our trip to Texarkana at Momma Lou and Papaw's house.  When we arrived we had a fun birthday celebration for Connor.  Momma Lou even had a special cookie cake for him.  The walkie talkies he got from them were a big hit!
Besides getting to play with toys, one of the boys favorite parts of their stay was getting to run around in the sprinkler.
I'm pretty sure they could do this for hours if we let them.
After the sprinklers we got out the bubbles.  Carson worked very hard to blow his own bubbles.
There were some beautiful hydrangeas outside that I convinced the boys to pose in front of.  One of my favorite flowers!
Carson helped me explore the yard some more to find the perfect spot to take some more pictures.
When we finally found it we went to grab the rest of the crew.
With a few silly songs and bribes of popsicles, we managed to get some pretty cute shots of everyone.
We all had a wonderful time getting to be with family.  Thank you Momma Lou and Ed for having us!  It was great!

Papa's Team

When we found out that Kevin, Rachel, and Owen were headed to Texarkana we knew it would be the perfect time to visit as well.  Mimi, the boys, and I hit the road and started our trip out at Papa and Ginny's house.  We all had a great time filled with lots of wonderful memories.
Ginny worked hard planning a super cute baseball themed party for the boys.
Coach Papa had these three cuties ready to play some ball!
Courtney helped make some decorations and those adorable team shirts.
Uncle Jeff even joined in on the fun.
Sweet Courtney helping Carson with his swing.  He loves baseball!
Connor's turn up at bat while Carson and Mimi cheered him on.
Playing some catch with the #1 coach.
After our baseball fun we came inside for dinner. The boys couldn't wait until dessert time!
The next morning we headed down to Spring Lake Park.  I have so many fun memories coming here when I was little so it is always fun to take Connor and Carson.
The boys set out to find some ducks to feed.
Carson loved getting to spend time with Owen.
Ginny and Rachel packed us a picnic lunch to enjoy while we were out there.
I told them to make a silly face and I got some pretty good ones. :)
Carson is my little lover! Always wanting to hold somebodies hand or pass out the hugs. Sweet boy!
We all had a wonderful time.  Thanks Papa and Ginny for being such wonderful hosts!
