On Friday, Connor and I went to lunch with some of my first grade students from last year and their moms. I was so excited to see them and catch up with their families. It was also fun for them to finally get to meet Connor after hearing about "Baby Hayden" all year long! :) Connor loved listening to all the kids talk and we wondered if he remembers those sounds that he heard from before during school.
This group of kids and moms was very special and made my year at Bee Cave Elementary something I will never forget. I am so glad that I was able to share the special times during my pregnancy with them. My students loved hearing updates from my doctors visits and always wanted to know how big "Baby Hayden" was and what he was doing in my tummy. The families in my class even had a sweet baby shower for us at the end of the year. With school starting back up soon it is going to be hard not to miss seeing those kids everyday, but I wouldn't trade getting to stay home with Connor for anything in the world! :)

Friends for a Lifetime
In college, God really blessed Cole and I with some amazing friends. They have been there with us through it all: our graduations, weddings, and now as we start our family. On our way back from Texarkana, we stopped by in Dallas to see Callie. I was so happy to share all the excitment of Connor with my best friend. We met at Jason's Deli for lunch and had such a nice time visiting. Connor loved meeting Callie and could not stop smiling at her! Thank you Callie for your amazing friendship!
Last week we also enjoyed a special visit from one of our favorite couples, Lee and Sally. They were so sweet to drive down one night so we could all go out for dinner. We had a great dinner at Chuy's then got to visit some more at home. Cole and I are both so thankful for their friendship and look forward to many more fun times in the future. Texarkana
This past weekend Connor took his first road trip to Texarkana to celebrate my grandmother's 70th birthday. Kevin and Rachel flew in on Saturday from LA so they could join us. We decided to leave really early on Sunday morning in case we had to make lots of stops along the way. Connor did such a great job in the car! He slept most of the way and we only had to stop a few times. It was such a fun weekend and we were so glad to see everyone.

Lost Pines
For our 2nd anniversary, Cole and I went to the Lost Pines Resort right outside of Austin. We had an amazing time! This was the same place we went last year for our anniversary and loved it so much we decided to go again. I can't believe how quickly two years has gone by! I never thought it was possible to love someone so much, but each day just gets better and better. We are truly blessed.

Lots to Celebrate!
We had such a fun weekend with a whole lot to celebrate. On Sunday, July 6th, Cole turned 24. It is amazing how much has happened in the past year. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband. I know I have said it before, but not only is he a wonderful husband, he is an amazing dad. He continues to be such a big help and loves his little boy more than anything! He is so good with him and Connor really enjoys being with his daddy.
We started celebrating Cole's birthday on Friday with our parents and then went out to Texas Land and Cattle for a great lunch on Sunday. We had the best time just relaxing and hanging out that afternoon. Connor loved taking his afternoon nap while his Daddy held him.
Happy 4th of July and Happy 1 Month Connor!
On Friday we had our parents over to our house for hamburgers to celebrate two special occasions. Connor is 1 month old! It was a perfect day to celebrate since it fell right on the 4th. My mom had bought him his first red, white, and blue outfit and we were so glad to see that it finally fit. For the first few weeks Connor was too small for most of his clothes, but now he is almost 10 pounds! I can't believe how big he has gotten. Time really does fly by.
