Home Improvements

Cole and I have several things that we would like to do to our house, but we started with installing crown molding and a fresh coat of paint.  We had crown molding put up in the front entry, kitchen, and living room.  It gave it a nice finished look and we are so pleased with how it turned out.  We also had almost everything repainted.  I had already had the playroom painted in Spice Vinegar and loved it so we continued that throughout the rest of the house.  Since we were getting new trim we also had them paint all the base boards.  The only places we didn't paint were Carson's room and the laundry room.
Here are a few Before and After...

Thanks to Mimi for letting us stay with you while all the work was being completed.  Both boys had so much fun while we were there that I think they are ready for us to have some more painting done! :)

C-O-N-N-O-R

Now to most this drawing of Connor's looks like a bunch of scribbles which is what most 2 year old drawings look like.  However if you look really closely in the bottom left corner you can see where he wrote his name!  We had never done this or practiced this before so you can imagine the teacher in me just was thrilled to see his first attempt at writing his name.  I added the black letters above what he wrote on this next picture so you could see it better.

Carson's 1st Trip to the Nursery

Sunday, March 13th was Carson's very first time to be left in the nursery.  He did great and so did I!  HA!  With so much sickness going around this time of year I had a hard time wanting to drop this sweet baby off. (Connor was already a nursery pro by this age!)  It was so nice to see my sweet friend Jessica in there who took such good care of him while I was away.

Connor's New Look

Today Connor got a much needed haircut, but instead of just a trim he is rocking a whole new look.  After a few nightmare not so fun experiences with me taking him, thankfully Cole has become the official "hair-cut taker."
That blur in the back is Connor's stylist, Cara, who is seriously a miracle worker.  She is so patient with him and does such a great job.
Do you notice a trend here?  Lollipops... Ice cream... no wonder Connor likes for Cole to take him. :)
He ran in the house with ice cream all over him yelling "I made a mess!  I get to take a bath!"  Who knew two baths in one day would be so much fun.
Here is one more shot of his new haircut.  It is still a little wet here, but you can see how cute he looks.
I still am surprised every time I look at him.  He looks so grown up!

We are still here...

Look who is growing up by the minute.
The weeks have turned to months and this cutie is on his way to being 5 months old!
There hasn't been a dull moment over here in the past week, but as soon as there is I will be back with more.
For now this sweet face will have to do.
See you soon!
