Taking a minute...

to thank God for these two precious blessings he has given me.

You may already be familiar with this song, but I love it so much that I had to share.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged,  for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go"
Joshua 1:9

Be Mine

I spent my Valentine's Day morning with these two cuties and a few of our best friends.
We all had so much fun with the New Years Eve Minute to Win It games we decided to have a Valentine's edition.
Up first was the Heart Stack.  They all had 1 minute to see how many heart candies they could stack up.
Carson thought eating them sounded like a better idea!
One of my boys favorite was the Marshmallow Toss.  I was impressed with how well they all did!
Of course Carson and Jackson did a little taste testing.
Every one got wrapped up during the Pink Mummy game.
The boys weren't too thrilled about using pink crepe paper so we gave them red. :)
Cookie Toss was our last game and ended with a sweet treat.  Everyone had a cookie that they attempted to move from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands.  A few of us did it, but it is harder than you think!
Carson missed the memo about no hands! :)
After all of our games the kids had a picnic lunch outside complete with heart shape sandwiches, grapes, strawberries, cheese sticks and carrots.
We ended our play date with a little Valentine exchange and a few more sweet treats!
That evening we had a small family celebration.  Cole and the boys played outside while I made a dinner that I knew my Valentine's would love. :)
Our night ended with a family movie night.  We gave Connor and Carson the movie Peter Pan for Valentines which has turned out to be one of their new favorites.  I forgot how good it is!

80

This February we celebrate Grandmommy's 80th birthday.
Her kids planned a wonderful party for all of her family and friends to come celebrate with her.
We all had a great time and got to visit with some out of town family we don't see often.
The boys were also thrilled that Amy and the girls were going to be there.
Plenty of cousins to play with and a huge empty room was the perfect way to keep all the kids entertained!
Despite the weather we even managed a few trips to the playground.  Hannah loved being outside!
Happy Birthday, Grandmommy!  You are very special to all of us and we love you so much!

Moving Right Along

This week our masonry is almost done....
our electricity was connected...
and our garage door was installed.
They finished texturing our walls yesterday so we will be busy selecting paint colors this weekend.  Tomorrow they will be putting up all of our trim and doors.  Plus our cabinets will be installed.  We can't wait to see it all!

Swim School

Today was Connor's first day of swim school at a local indoor facility.  He will be going once a week during the spring for his lesson.  There are 11 stations that they go through at their own pace.  Today Connor was at Station 1 (holding head under water for 5 seconds) and has already been promoted to Station 2.  He was so excited about wearing goggles and we ended up forgetting to bring them with us!
Carson and I hung out in the waiting area and watched.  Thankfully it is closed off or Carson would have been in that pool in two seconds!
I am so proud of how well he did during his first class!
