Halloween 2013

When Connor got home from school, the boys were greeted with a spooky Halloween snack.
I found some gummy eyeballs that I knew they would love and Mimi surprised them with a little pumpkin treat bag.
Carson quickly sorted his goodies.
While Connor got busy checking out the eye balls.
Connor thought they were more fun to play with than eat.
Up next was a little pumpkin carving.  The boys took care of getting all the seeds out.  Connor found a "perfect" place to plant all the seeds afterwards and is hoping to see a pumpkin grow by next year.
I took care of all the carving after we all decided what the face should look like.
As soon as the sun started to go down, we threw on the costumes and headed out to trick or treat.  We only went to a few neighbors, but the highlight of the night was when Connor was able to trick or treat at his teacher's house.  He was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to recognize him dressed as Hook. :)  It was a fun night!

Carson's 3rd Birthday Party

Ever since my boys got their hands on the Peter Pan movie they have been obsessed.  Especially Carson who I'm pretty sure could recite it word for word.  So when deciding how we would celebrate Carson's third birthday there was no question on what the theme would be.  I started collecting a few things here and there for the party and the anticipation grew in this sweet little boy.  I can't tell you how many times I heard "thank you for my birthday party, Mommy."  Carson was so appreciative of every little thing.  This was his first birthday that he really understood it was his special day.
Another thing Carson loves to do is dress up so we made it a dress up party as well.  We set out a few extra pirate costumes for our party guests. Carson thought this was so cool!
These two pirates helped make it all come together.  They were the perfect team to help me get all the last minute details done.
The boys were perfectly content reading books with Papaw while they patiently waited for the party to begin.
It was finally time to start the party and look who showed up!  Tinker Bell, Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, and Captain Hook.

A few more pirates arrived to join in on the fun!
For dinner we served Tick Tock Nuggets, Mr. Smee's Fruit Salad, Peter Pan Veggies, Pirate Booty, and Lost Boys Lemonade.

Dinner got a big "aargh" from everyone!
The celebration continued with a few pirate games.
They raced around looking for Hook's lost treasure and...
tried their best to place their treasure right where X marks the spot.
Then came time for a birthday song and cupcakes.
Carson was loving every minute of it!
We ended the night with presents, presents, and more presets.
Carson Michael, we love you so much and are thankful to get to be your Mommy and Daddy.  What a joy you have been to all of us for these past three years.  We couldn't have asked for a sweeter little boy than you!

Sweet Berry Farm 2013

One of our favorite things to do in the fall is visit the pumpkin patch.  We braved the weather and headed out there on Carson's birthday.  Can't believe my baby is 3!
Little man loved running around checking out all the pumpkins.  He was even sweet and agreed to my numerous picture requests. :)
His favorite place to pose was in all the cut outs.
Not long after we arrived it started raining so we took cover and waited a few minutes for it to stop.
Carson thought this was a safe distance to be from the goats.
This patch has so many fun places to explore.
 "Smile, Carson!"
 "Big smile, Carson!"
I love the Zinnias almost as much as the pumpkins!
Another successful trip to Sweet Berry Farm!
