Halloween 2011

Halloween for us actually happened on Sunday night.  We wanted to celebrate with grandparents and knew that we would have more time on the weekend.  The great thing about having a 1 year old and 3 year old is that they had no idea! :)  Here is Max and his little puppy.  This was the first year that Connor requested what costume he wanted to wear.  It was no surprise that he wanted to be Max from his favorite show "Max and Ruby."  You may recognize this puppy from a few years ago.  I love being able to use things again!

 My sweet family
First up was making candy apples.  As you can see, Connor did a little more sampling than decorating. :)
We knew we might get some funny looks ringing the neighbors doorbell so we opted for a few rounds of trick or treating at our house.  We all took turns filling up their pumpkins.
Connor got the hang of it very quickly!
Carson had fun checking out his goodies.
We had been wanting to carve a pumpkin with the boys and I am so glad we did.  Of course Connor had no interest in sticking his hands in the "juice", but he loved helping to design the face.
He instructed Cole to make it look "just like my bear."
 Proud of their hard work!
It was so fun watching Connor get so excited about everything.  We had the best night!

Playdate and Pinkalicious Party

Friday morning we went over to my friend Jennifer's house for a play date.  The kids dressed up in their costumes and we all enjoyed some yummy food that Jennifer had made.
Connor had a blast playing with all of Tara's toys.  Especially with this roller coaster!
The next day Connor's BFF, Emily, celebrated her 3rd birthday.  Beth did an amazing job once again with the party.  I wish I would have taken some pics of all the cute decorations, but hopefully she will put some up on her blog.  It was a "pinkalicious" party and everything was pink.  Don't you just love Connor's bow tie?  :)
These two are like brother and sister!  I found this old picture of them from April of 2009.  Look how much they have changed!
Check back soon for some pictures from Halloween!

Nana's Fair

Connor was SO excited to attend the fall fair at Nana's school.  There were lots of fun games that were just perfect for him.  Basketball was a favorite that we revisited several times.
Carson was happy to be along for the ride.
I loved how he took each game so seriously.  He gets so focused on doing it just right. :)
Not only did he have fun playing the games, but he received prizes at the end.
Playing musical chairs with Nana at the cake walk.
Connor had a blast and still talks about "Nana's school."  We are thankful that we live so close to do fun things like this with grandparents.

Pumpkin Patch Take Two

Happy 12 Months, Carson!

Height: 33 1/4' (97%)
Weight: 26 lbs 9oz (91%)

Now that Carson is 12 months:

Loves to listen to music and dance along.

Always observing, but if it gets quiet this boy doesn't stop talking!  Making lots of sounds, can say "Mama" "Dada" "bye bye", and tries to repeat words we say.

Loves to imitate sounds he hears.  We constantly hear him fake laugh, cough, and sneeze.

No more bottles or formula!  We made the change the day after his birthday and haven't looked back since. Although the first couple of days when he cried just looking at the cup, I am pretty sure that was he way of letting me know he was not happy with the change! :)
Pulls up on everything and started cruising around.

Crawling on his hands and knees a lot more, but still not walking.

Carson LOVES to look at books.  He will just sit and study all the pages.
Happy 1st Birthday, Carson!
