Owen's Birthday Weekend: Part 3

One of my favorite parts the whole trip was watching Owen and Carson together.  Owen was so sweet and Carson couldn't get enough hugs and kisses.  They both seemed to really enjoy playing together.
 Cousins are so much fun!
Here is a little video of these cuties!

Owen's Birthday Weekend: Part 2

Friday afternoon we spent at the LA Zoo.  It was the perfect weather for strolling around and checking out the animals.  Connor lead the way with his map.

By this time in the trip Carson had already missed some sleep so he took advantage of a long stroller ride for a good nap.
The Koala bears were by far my favorite.  Aren't they so cute?
Love these two!
Connor said he liked the giraffes the best.
Carson woke up in time to join us for lunch a catch a few animals before we left.
We all took a ride on the carousel before we left.  Carson rode the zebra, but Connor chose to ride on the peacock bench.  I had to convince my cautious child that the bench would be nice and safe. :)
It was a great day at the zoo!

Owen's Birthday Weekend: Part 1

Connor, Carson and I were beyond thrilled when all the details worked out for us to be able to go celebrate Owen's 1st birthday in California.  Wednesday morning we headed out on an early flight with my bag of tricks to keep the boys entertained for 3 hours.  This was my first flight solo with the boys and it went amazingly smooth.  I was so proud of how well they did.
Kevin picked us up at the airport and within 10 minutes on the car ride home both boys were out!
We really had the royal treatment while we were there.  Rachel is an amazing hostess and they both made us feel right at home.  Connor especially loved all the special groceries Rachel had picked up for him at the store.  We had a great time just hanging out and getting to play with the boys.  We took a walk over to the Grove to visit the Easter bunny and get some ice cream.  Rachel snapped this adorable picture of the three cousins.  I love it!
On Thursday morning we headed to a kids concert at the Grove.  This was one of the highlights of the trip for Connor.  He had the best time and still talks about all the fun songs and dancing.
(I stole a few pictures from Rachel's blog to show you. Thanks, Rachel!)
Carson took a seat right up front to watch the show.  He was pretty entertained watching his brother dance all over the place.
Just to give you an idea of how much Connor loved it here are a few videos:
