Happy 4 Months, Clay!

Happy 4 Months Clay Michael!
This past month you...

Learned to roll over from your back to your stomach.

Started sleeping 9-10 hours at night.

Still taking 5 oz bottles six times a day.
 Smile ALL the time.

Have the sweetest giggle.
Really started grabbing and holding on to things.

Is not on a strict schedule, but takes great naps during the day and rarely fusses.  He is a pro at putting himself to sleep.  (With two other kids schedule will we ever be on a strict schedule?)
For the most part you are a calm laid back baby who spends most of the time observing everything around you.  With 2 older brothers there is a LOT to observe.  :)

Your eyes still have quite a bit of blue in them and in certain lights looking almost light blue.  I have no idea what color these eyes are going to be.
Now that you are rolling over you have also started using your feet to lunge yourself forward.  You get your knees up under you and push!
There is constantly something in your mouth.  Usually your hand.
At your 4 month well check you weighed 18 lbs 3 oz and are 26 1/2 inches long.

We couldn't imagine our family without you Clay!  Love you to pieces!

Happy 3 Months, Clay!

Now that you are 3 months you...
Sleep about 6-7 hours at night
Eat 5 oz every 3-4 hours
Becoming very vocal and will usually "talk back" when we talk to you.
Smile almost every time you makes eye contact with us
Still hardly ever cry, but will fuss when we don't get your bottle ready fast enough
Love having something in your mouth whether it is a pacifier, hand or a toy.
Started clasping your hands together more and reaching for things.
Wearing size 2 diapers and mainly 6-9 month clothing.
Enjoy looking at toys and trying to reach for them.
We also had some pictures taken this past month in the same outfit Connor and Carson had theirs taken in.  I love the comparisons!

Happy 2 Months, Clay!

Time has flown by and Clay is already 2 months old!
At his 2 month well check he weighed 14 lbs 6 oz (93%) and was 24 1/2 in long (96%).  He also had his first round of vaccinations which resulted in some really sad cries.  Thankfully he got over it quickly!
Carson at 2months was 13lbs 8oz and are 24 inches long.
Connor at 2 months was 13lbs 4oz and 23 1/2 inches long.
Right now Clay's eyes are still blue and his hair that is coming in seems to be a lighter color than the other 2 boys.  By 2 months Connor and Carson's eyes were a lot darker (almost brown) so we may have a blonde hair blue eyed boy on our hands.  I guess we will know in a few months. :)

He is eating 5 ounce bottles every 3-4 hours.  We are still working on stretching out his night time.  He has been my slowest baby to sleep through the night, but as soon as he is finished eating he will instantly go back to sleep or just lay there quiet so I can't complain!  We moved him from the pack-n-play to his rock-n-play in our room at night time.  Once he sleeps a little bit longer I will move him full time to his crib.
He smiles so easily and seriously is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen.  We joke that he hasn't really made his presence known yet because he is so easy.   He doesn't seem to have a preference on much yet.  He is content whether being held, in his crib, car seat, bouncer, or rock-n-play.  Tummy time is good for a short period and he will let you know when he is over it.  He is holding his head up on his own better each day.  He loves kicking in his bouncer seat to turn on the lights and music.
This was also a big month for Clay with a trip to the pediatric cardiologist and ENT.  At his one month appointment, Clay's doctor heard a heart murmur and wanted us to investigate it further.  Thankfully it was an innocent one (musical murmur) and there is no treatment needed.  He will go back in 6 months to check his progress, but it looked like everything should be fine
Clay also was tongue-tied and it was severe enough that it needed to be addressed.  We found a great ENT that took care of it by clipping it and he seems to be doing great.  It was funny after the first couple of days to see him stick his tongue out which he had not really been able to do before.
This boy loves to kick and stretch!
Clay Michael you brighten up all of our days with your sweet smile and happy disposition.  We love you!
