Baylor Homecoming 2011

At 6:05 AM this morning the boys and I were pulling out of the driveway on our way to the Baylor Homecoming parade.  It was still dark outside and I think they boys thought we were crazy loading them up in the car so early.  We rewarded our early morning efforts with some coffee and donuts at Shipley's before we left town.  I was feeling pretty good about being on time until I realized I had left both of the boys jackets on the kitchen table.  Thankfully the bookstore was open and these 2 scored a new Baylor sweatshirt.
My friend Callie had arrived before us and saved us some great front row seats to enjoy the parade.
Both the boys had so much fun watching all the people and floats go by.
Connor said this huge balloon was his favorite part of the parade.
Different sororities and fraternities make floats each year that are judged in a competition.  It is amazing how much detail goes into each one.
The red wagon filled with toys was one of my favorites!
Have you ever seen a car with 2 engines and steering wheels?
Homecoming is such a unique and special time at Baylor.  It is a chance to look back on your days at college, but also a time to take part in a 100 year old tradition with your Baylor family.
I loved making new memories with my boys today!
