So proud!
Look at that sweet face! Can you tell somebody is proud of himself?! :) I think he could tell by the surprised look on my face (and the "Hold on baby, let me go get my camera!") that I was proud of him too! Connor has been pulling up on things every now and then, but usually only if he is trying to get something really fun off the sofa, like the phone or remote. So you can see how I was surprised to walk back in my room and find him like this! It was as if all of a sudden he decided that pulling up is a fun thing to do! He has even started "cruising" along the sides of the pack-n-play. Just thought I would share another fun milestone.

Connor and Kate
Happy Spring Break to everyone! This is my first year to not have an official spring break. Even though I feel like ever day is spring break since I get to stay home with Connor!
We were so happy to have Amy, David, and Kate in town this past week. It had only been a few weeks since we had see them, but already Kate had grown up so much. She is just the cutest thing you have ever seen! Especially when she gives you one of her sweet smiles! :) Connor definitely loves his cousin Kate too! He was very interested in her bows and I think would of liked to take them off if we had let him. Here are some pictures we took while they were here

"That bow looks pretty interesting!"
Checking to see who is watching.
Deciding to take a closer look.
I can tell these two are going to have lots of fun together!
We were sad to seem them leave today, but are glad we will see them again in a few weeks when we head up to Longview! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

What's for dinner?
Connor has officially made the switch to table food! After his 9 month appointment last week, his pediatrician gave us the green light to move on to new things. It is safe to say that he was not too sad to say goodbye to the baby food. Even a few attempts to finish off what we had in the pantry were pushed aside. (Which if you know Connor is shocking because he is definitely not one to reject anything you give him)
This past Saturday I made pancakes and Connor thought he was in heaven! I barely put any syrup on his, but that did not stop him from cleaning his plate. He was even using both hands to get it in his mouth as fast as he could! (No wonder he wont eat baby food after I give him things like this!)
He has also tried chicken, turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, bananas, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, yougart, jello. Tonight he is going to try some butternut squash and maybe some pasta and peas. Everything I have given him so far he has loved!
After breakfast we went to our neighbors 2nd birthday party and had a great time! Connor's favorite part was the swing. He made it look so fun with all his smiling and laughing that he had to get off because a long line of kids formed that wanted to see what it was all about.
On a whole other note... being able to spend so much time with Cole and Connor this weekend made me so thankful for the wonderful family that God has given me. I was reminded how blessed I am to have these two boys in my life!
I also have been thinking a lot lately how thankful I am that I get to stay home with Connor during these precious times. Cole has been the greatest husband a girl could ask for to work so hard to ensure that I can spend each day with our little man.
Looking back I am amazed how much he has changed since the day we brought him home. Lately, he has really started learning how to express himself in new ways. He is babbling ALL the time and gives the sweetest hugs and kisses that I wish I could just bottle up! Connor has become so affectionate and at the same time has showed us he can at times be strong-willed. His new was to "express" himself if he is not happy with the situation is arching his back as far as he can and doing a little of what I call whinning. I know this is just a normal thing that kids do, but I just started laughing the first time he did it because it caught me so off guard. (I know I probably broke some parenting rule for laughing, but it did make him stop!) :)
So this week my verse for Connor is one of the ones that I got off the Bring the Rain blog. I thought it was appropriate since most of the "back arching" has been centered around eating and drinking. This boy LOVES his food!

Happy 9 Months Connor!
I am 9 months old!
What I can do now that I am 9 months:
-Move all over the place!
-Crawl
-Dances to music (shake my head and arms)
-Starting to eat a lot more solid foods
-Loves apple juice
-Can say "bye bye", "dada", "dipi" (diaper)
-Wave "bye-bye"
-Putting a lot more sounds together with voice inflection
-Still LOVES his books!
-Nods his head when he is happy
-Starting to pull up
-Loves "Old McDonald","If your happy and you know it", and of course still the "ABC's"
To celebrate his 9 months birthday my mom and I took Connor to a photographer to have his pictures made. Connor did great during all of it! The photographer was so nice and we really enjoyed working with her. We got to see a sneak peak of a few pictures on her blog when we got home and I can already tell I am going to have a hard time not ordering all of them!
Here is a link to her website and blog if you want to check them out.
