Connor's Baby Dedication

This past Sunday was another very important day for our family. We had Connor's baby dedication at church. For the past month, Cole and I have been attending a class on Wednesday nights that helped us create a family covenant that we were presented during the service. Making the covenant really helped us define what our family valued and what our goals were for the future. It was a very special time for our family and something we will always remember.

Ryan taught the class on Wednesday nights which made it even more special that Connor's "2nd cousin" dedicated him.
We had lots of family there to celebrate with us. Momma Lou and Ed came in on Thursday to see Connor and be here for his dedication. We were so glad they were able to make it!
Cole's sister Amy surprised us by making a trip all the way from Longview. She didn't want to miss it! We had a lot of fun hanging out with her and so glad she came.
Cole's grandparents, Pop and Saundra, were happy to come to church to see Connor.
Emily and Jack loved playing with Connor.
After the service we all went out to eat at the Brick Oven to celebrate. It was a good place for a large group because we had our own room and the food was great.

Mimi and Connor
Grandmommy also came to church and lunch to celebrate.
It was a great day and we are very thankful to have such a wonderful supportive family to help us share this special day.

Rolllll.... Over!

This past weekend my cousin Kaci and her husband John came to stay with us and see Connor. We all had such a good time and it was so good to catch up. Cole and John went down to College Station on Saturday to watch the A&M game while Kaci and I spent most of our time shopping! John and Kaci are such a sweet couple and we are blessed to have them as friends.
Connor loved his Auntie Kaci so much! She was such a big help and we were all sad to see them leave.
I love this girl!
All last week, Connor was feeling a little under the weather so I took him into the doctor and she said he probably just had a cold. We knew that he wasn't feeling that great when he stopped "talking" all the time and had lots of congestion. Today I am happy to report that Connor is 100% back to his old self. He is sleeping better, talking all the time, and...
ROLLING OVER!
This afternoon we were playing in his room and I wanted to let him lay on his tummy for a little while to keep building up those neck muscles. Well, to my surprise as soon as I put him down he decided to roll right over! Connor is not a big fan of being on his tummy so I knew it was only a matter of time before he did this. I ran and got my camera to record it, so here are a few videos of Connor learning to roll from his stomach to his back.

Church Nursery

I am a little behind on my posts, but I wanted to make sure I added these pictures of Connor's first Sunday morning in the nursery. He had actually stayed in the nursery before this, but it was during the Ladies Tuesday morning Bible study. (On a side note... we are going through Beth Moore's new study, "Stepping Up", which is amazing and I highly recommend! It has been such a blessing not only to get to stay home with Connor, but also be able to attend things like this.)

So back to Connor's first Sunday :)...

He did such a great job! The nursery workers said that he spent most of the time sleeping in the swing. We went to check on him before Sunday School and he was as happy as could be. He seemed a little overwhelmed by all the noise though.
Cole had "Door Monitoring" duty that Sunday so he was able to come and check on Connor as much as he wanted.

Connor had fun hanging out with his new friend Macy, who is only 2 days younger than him.
It was also a very exciting weekend because Amy and David came into town for Amy's first baby shower. We had such a good time hanging out with them and loved to see all of Baby Kate's new things. Connor was so glad that they came and we all can't wait to meet Kate!
It was also Cheryl's birthday that weekend so we were able to all celebrate that as well. Connor loved celebrating with his Nana!

Happy 3 Months Connor!

I am 3 months old!
Another month has flown by and Connor is already 3 months old! Here are a few of the things he has been up to:

-Smiles all the time and has become very vocal when interacting with people.
-Loves to hold his hands clasped together and put them in his mouth.
-Sleeps about 10 hours every night.
-Started to prefer toys to play with (especially his monkey stuffed animal!)
-Holds head up almost completely by himself.
-Drooling a lot (But no teeth!)

We celebrated his 3 months by going to get his pictures made at Portrait Innovations. He was so good during the entire shoot and we really were able to get some great pictures. Here are a few of our favorites:

Sic 'Em Bears!

Yesterday was an important day in the Hayden house for many reasons. Football has officially started (Can you hear Cole screaming with excitement?) and Baylor was one of the first schools to play. In honor of this special day Connor wore his 1st Baylor onesie. (I had bought this for him as soon as I found out I was pregnant!) In the end, Connor found out what it means to be a Baylor fan.... we might not always win, but at least we look good trying! :)
Connor trying to say "Sic 'em Bears!"
Connor thought it was more fun to eat his bear than watch the game.
Don't worry... everyone is still happy around the Hayden house today even after a huge loss.
Cole is headed to College Station tomorrow for the first A&M game. Connor has his outfit ready and is excited to support his Daddy's team.
