LBJ Ranch

This past week we had a special visit from my grandparents, Momma Lou and Ed. We were all so happy to see them, but especially Connor! He loved having them to play with all week.
On Wednesday we took at trip down to Johnson City to the LBJ Ranch. Our first stop was the Living History Farm. They had cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and more!

Checking out the pigs.
We saw a group of chickens and rosters ahead and Connor immediately put his hand up and started yelling "doodle doo doodle doo!"

Climbing up into the laundry room.
I think Connor's favorite part of the trip was being able to run free in all the open spaces. This little boy is constantly on the go!
We had a great time! It was such a neat place to take kids and we will definitely be going back!

Getting Ready for Easter

I am so excited that it is almost Easter! Connor is now old enough that I think he is going to really enjoy hunting for eggs this year. After searching for the perfect outfit for our little guy to wear this Sunday I finally found something at Orient Expressed. Its a blue shortall with 2 interchangeable tabs. One tab has Easter bunnies on it while the other tab is personalized with his monogram. I love the classic/traditional look of this and can't wait for him to wear it!
Here is a sneak peak of him while we were trying it on. Can you believe that we had to order him a 4T?! (Their sizes tend to run a little small)

Backyard Fun

We had such great weather on Tuesday that we decided to have a picnic in the backyard for dinner. I laid out a blanket for Connor who was thrilled to have the freedom to move around while he ate. He would sit and eat a few bites and then just take off running. He was definitely not use to having the option to get up during dinner and took full advantage of it! :) He played on his swing set for a long time and then we got out his tractor and t-ball set. By the end of the night he was covered in grass and dirt, but loved every minute of it!

Rodeo and a Trip to Mimi's

Friday night Cole and I headed to the Austin Rodeo with some free tickets given to Cole by one of his vendors at work. They gave us tickets to the rodeo, concert, and to the Founder's Club. After not being too impressed by what was offered up in the club we decided to be brave and find something to eat at the fair. I think it was the most expensive turkey leg, corn dog, and glass of tea we have ever had! (at least our tickets were free!) :) After that we headed inside to watch all the events. This was my favorite part of the evening. I love watching all the horses and especially enjoyed watching the mutton busting, even though I don't ever think I want Connor doing that! We ended up leaving a little earlier because we both were still starving and ready for some real food!
We weren't the only ones having a great night. Connor got a special treat and was able to spend the night at Mimi's. (Did I mention how nice it was to sleep in on Saturday morning?) :) Mom was great about taking pictures so I could see all the fun they had. They did all of Connor's favorite things... play, eat, take a bath, play, go "up the stairs", and play some more! He loves spending time with his Mimi! Thanks Mom for letting us have a night out!
