Hold My Hand

Yesterday we had a quiet morning at home.  I had put Carson in the swing while I was getting a few things done around the house.  Several minutes later I look over and notice that for the first time Connor was talking to Carson without being prompted by one of us.  As a mom, it is the sweetest thing to see your two boys together!  Connor was really quiet at first then he started saying "Hold my hand, Carson!  Hold my hand!"
All the while expecting Carson to reach out and hold it. :)
"It's okay Carson.  I hold you."
Sweet moments
Then for the first time ever Connor asked to hold Carson.  We had asked him if he wanted to before, but he never wanted to and we weren't going to push it.  He was so careful and held so still while Carson was on his lap.
"Carson so cute!"
Leaning over to give kisses.
I am so thankful for these two boys and treasure all these special moments I get to spend with them. :)

Papa and Ginny

This past week we had a special visit from my grandparents, Papa and Ginny.  They got in to town on Wednesday afternoon and we headed over to mom's house to meet them.  Connor was still taking a nap when they arrived so they had some time to love on Carson before he woke up.

Once Connor woke up he was ready to play with Papa.
Later that night they came over and surprised Connor with this new tiger sleeping bag.  He had never seen a sleeping bag before and was so excited to try it out.
Thank you Papa and Ginny for making the trip down to visit us.  We had a great time and can't wait to see you again soon!

Newborn Photo Shoot

Carson had his first photo shoot this week and he did great!  Cole, Connor, and I even made it in a few of the shots. :)  We went back to the same photographer we have used with Connor and she did an amazing job once again.  Click on the link below to see a sneak peek.

One Week Old

As of Monday, Carson is officially one week old.  I can already tell that time is going to fly by.  He is growing and changing so much every day.  Although he is still sleeping the majority of the day, I can tell that he is starting to get more and more alert as the days go on.  I love each and every second that I get to spend with this sweet boy and am so thankful for him.

Mimi found Carson his own puppy so we could start taking his "monthly" pictures.
I love how they are about the same size!
Monday was also Carson's first outing.  I took him to his first doctors appointment.  The doctor said he looked absolutely perfect!  He did great and only got upset with them when he had to lay on the cold scale.
At 1 week Carson weighs 6 lbs 15 oz (20%) and is 21 inches long (50%).
