We had a great day celebrating the 4th of July. Our morning started off with a trip to Mimi's to watch her neighborhood parade. There were fire trucks, police cars, and hundreds of kids! Connor loved it and Carson did too until the fire truck turned on its siren. Have you ever seen such a sad face? Thankfully there were no tears, just a pouty lip.
Connor's favorite part was the candy they threw out.
There was a contest for decorating your bike or wagon so it was fun to see what everyone did.
Cole grilled us hamburgers for lunch while Mom and I made all the sides.
Connor couldn't get enough watermelon!
These two are really starting to enjoy each other. Carson has always been Connor's #1 fan, but I think Connor is realizing that his little brother can be fun to play with.
Carson also picked this day to start army crawling. He is officially on the go!
One of the sweet moments with these two.
That afternoon we took the boys swimming.
Carson loved his first time in his float. Watch those little legs kick!
Our day ended with a trip to the Spades house to see Nana and Poppa. We had some homemade ice cream and watched Connor play a little ping pong. It was a wonderful day and we were thankful to get to celebrate together as a family.
