Good Morning!

I didn't realize how long Connor's hair was getting until I went to get him out of the crib this morning and found this! :)  He has started sleeping with his head pushed up into the corner which results in every hair on his head sticking straight up!  Just had to share! :)

Here are a few pictures that I told you I would put up from Connor and Kate's first photo shoot together. They did such a great job!

We hope you have a great rest of the week!

Amy and Kate

This past week we were so happy to have Amy and Kate come visit us in Austin.  We had a great time hanging out and playing with babies.  Connor and Kate definietly kept us entertained!
Amy, Kate, Connor, and Cole
Kate's "Nana" had a party at her house for everyone to come meet her.  Isn't she just adorable?  I never knew being an aunt would be so much fun!!
On Friday we decided to take Connor and Kate to get their pictures made and were hoping we could get some of them togther.  To my surprise, the photographer did a great job of getting a 1 month old and 7 month old together for a picture.  They both did great!  We got some really cute shots.  Once I get them on my computer I will be sure to post some.  Until then, here are a few pictures I took while we were waiting to see our proofs.

We already miss you guys and can't wait to see you again really soon!

Life Lately

There have not been too many blog updates lately because our computer has been in the shop, but here are a few things we have been up to.

Connor has 2 teeth! If you look really closely you can see the tops of his 2 new teeth. I can't believe my baby has teeth! Where did the time go?!?
We have also been able to have several play dates with friends. Connor loves to watch other kids, but I think I am the one who enjoys play dates the most! :)
He loves to play with his sweet friend Emily.
One exciting new discovery is how to play pat-a-cake by himself! We are at the very beginning stages, but he has figured out how to bring his hands together over and over. This video shows him doing it, but he spends most of the time looking at my mom and I waiting for us to play with him. He focuses so hard on how to imitate our movements. This is such a fun age!!

We can't wait for our exciting week ahead when Aunt Amy and Kate come to visit!

Happy 7 Months Connor!

I am 7 months old!

You might have noticed that there is now a different wall color in the back of Connor's monthly picture.  No, I didn't paint his room red :) ... but we did finally decide to change our study into a playroom.  After Christmas we realized how blessed Connor was to have so many toys and books, but where to keep them was the question.  We loved the idea of having a central place to keep everything so now he officially has his own room to play!  Connor never has really liked to be rocked so we will get a lot more use having this chair in his new playroom.  I am in the process of decorating, but here are a few pictures to show you how it looks so far.

Do you think he has enough books? :)

What I can do now that I am 7 months:

-Laugh and smile all the time!  We hardly ever hear a fuss!
-LOVES peek-a-boo (even more than last month)
-Kicks his feet really hard when he is excited
-Gets where he wants to go a lot faster (but still working on crawling)
-Eats everything I give him (baby food and cereal)
-Tried mashed potatoes
-Would rather play on floor than be held
-Prefers books over toys most of the time
-Very observant of everything around him
-Studies new people very carefully
-Making a lot more multi-syllable sounds
-Sits up in the bath with new seat
-Loves the theme song to Backyardigans (after a very long car ride with a DVD player) :)

Here is Connor in his new bath seat.  You can't tell in the picture but he was moving his little legs a mile a minute because he was so excited!

I added this video just to show you how happy he is all the time and how much he loves to play.  I also love how he keeps looking over at his Daddy!
