Well a lot has happened since I last posted so I will warn you now that this will probably be the longest post in the history of blogs. You will soon find out I had a hard time deciding what pictures to put up. :)
We had a great first day of the new year. Cole had off work so it was nice to spend time together as a family. My brother and Rachel headed back to LA this afternoon, but not before taking some really cute pictures of Connor that I just had to share. Thank you, Rachel!
He is the happiest baby in the entire world!
This is his new "I have a tooth" face that he makes when he feels his new tooth. I tried to take a picture of it, but have been unsuccessful so far.
This is so fun!
Connor had so much fun getting to see his Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rachel. He especially loved it when they would read him a book! :)
We will miss you guys and can't wait to see you again soon!
OK.... Now on to the Christmas celebrations!
Christmas #1
On the first Saturday in December we started celebrating Christmas with Cole's grandparents, "Pop" and Saundra. Since Cole had to work we missed lunch, but made it out just in time for desserts and presents. It was such a fun time to see everyone. (If you can believe it I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures to share.)
Christmas #2
Our second celebration was with Cole's grandmother, "Grandmommy". On our way back from Longview to meet baby Kathryn we headed straight to Kyle and Betty's house for some great food and fun. The pictures below are actually from Christmas day when we stopped by to visit. Connor loves his Grandmommy!
Christmas #3
Our first Christmas together as a new family! I was so excited I could barely sleep. I woke up early to get everything ready. When Connor finally woke up at 8:30 we brought him in to see what Santa had left him. He didn't know what was going on at first, but you could tell that he very quickly got the hang of it.
He LOVED his car! We pushed him all around the house while he honked the horn.
Where did the cookies go?
Cole read us the Christmas story.
So excited!
Checking out some of his new toys.
Christmas #4
After our Christmas morning, we headed over to my mom's house to celebrate with my family. My mom made a wonderful brunch and then we spent some time letting Connor open some of his presents. Later on that night we had an amazing dinner and opened our presents from each other. Connor got a few more surprises too! :)
Beep! Beep! Mimi here I come!
Ready to start opening.
"This is just what I wanted!"
Playing with his new train from Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rachel.
Going for a ride in his new wagon from Mimi.
After opening up all of his toys of course the tissue paper became more entertaining. He tore it up into a hundred little pieces and had so much fun doing it!
Christmas #5
On Friday night we went out to Cole's parents, "Poppa" and "Nana", to celebrate with them. They were able to spend Christmas day with David, Amy, and Kathryn so we waited until Friday to celebrate. It was perfect for Connor to have a little break in all the excitement! We had a wonderful dinner and really enjoyed spending some time out there. We all got lots of fun surprises!
Connor decided to take a break from opening his present to see what his Poppa had to say.
Nana helping him see what is inside.
Which one next? :)
Christmas #6
Saturday after Christmas we headed up to Texarkana. Our first stop was at my "Papa" and Ginny's house. We had a fun celebration that night. It was so nice to see everyone and visit. The next morning we all went to church with Papa.
Connor was happy to be with his Papa and Ginny.
Here is most of the group.
Christmas #7
After church we headed over to my "Momma Lou" and Ed's house. Momma Lou made a great lunch. Later that afternoon we opened gifts and played some games. It is always fun to see everyone, but it was even more exciting this year to have Connor with us.
Connor was proud to be at his Momma Lou's house!
So happy that Kevin and Rachel made it through the long car ride with us!
Christmas #8
After leaving Texarkana on Monday, we headed to Conroe to see my Papaw Askew. He hadn't had the chance to meet Connor yet so we all enjoyed our time together. Connor really liked looking to see what was in Papaw's pockets. While we were there my Uncle Wayne came by to say hello. It was so nice to see him too.
