When I posted the video of Connor a few days ago I knew it would probably be a few weeks before I was going to have to really be careful about what he was getting in to. Boy, was I wrong! I learned really quickly that once they start, they don't stop! Connor is loving this new found freedom!
Today I was sitting at the kitchen table working on filing some papers when all of a sudden I hear tiny little hands slapping the hard floors. Connor had been playing with some toys in the living room and I guess he decided it was time to explore. He always had sat there nicely and played with whatever I put down and never went beyond the rug. So it was quite a surprise to see him going right past me. He stopped to check a few things out along the way and then headed straight for the refrigerator. (A child after my own heart!) He also managed to point out to me every piece of dirt I had on the floor along the way. :) He even checked under all the rugs!
I let him explore for a little while and then I decided it was time for the gate to go up. I quickly assembled and got it up while Connor started playing with some toys in his playroom. He figured out how to pull all the toys off the bottom shelf and did not want any help.
He seemed so grown up moving all around and deciding which toy he wanted to play with.
Here is the trail of destruction he left. :) I have a feeling this is going to be a common scene in my house from now on.
So as you can see it was a busy, but very fun day here at the Hayden house! Looks like Cole and I will be working on some more child proofing this weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
