Weekend Road Trip

Well, it's Sunday night and we just got home from our trip to Longview for Kate's baby dedication.  I just finished unpacking and for some reason am still not tired so I thought I would share a few pictures from our weekend.  Actually, make that a LOT of pictures.  (I knew the grandparents would not object to that!)  :)  

It was a short trip, but we managed to make plenty of stops along the way.  This was the first car ride that Connor has faced forward for.  He loved it and so did we!  

1st Stop: Baylor

Waco was the perfect place to stop and get out.  We had lunch and then headed over to campus to let Connor see the bears.  Unfortunately, the bears were asleep so there was not much to see.  We walked around, stopped at the bookstore, and took lots of pictures.  Here are a few of my favorite.  

We all love Baylor, but Cole thought he should throw in a "Gig 'Em" if he was going to sit on that green and gold swing. :)

2nd Stop: Bluebonnets

I love the time of year when the Bluebonnets start to bloom.  Once we got on Hwy 31 there were tons and tons of them so we just had to stop.  Connor was not too sure what we were doing on the side of the road.  Hopefully, I can find a place here in Austin to take some more.

3rd Stop: Longview

We finally made it!  Amy and David were so sweet to let us stay at their house while we were there.  We all headed to church this morning for Kate's dedication.  It was such a sweet service and of course Kate looked adorable!  Amy got some really cute shots of Kate in her pretty pink dress.  You will have to check back on her blog later and I bet she will have some of them up.

4th Stop: Baylor (again!)

Can you tell that we love Baylor in this family?!  Well, actually it is probably mostly me, but I have a sweet husband and son that were very agreeable to stop again.  We had a picnic on campus and then headed to see if the bears were awake.  I was so glad they were because it was so much fun seeing Connor with them.  He had lots of fun clapping and waving to Joy and Lady.

This is Connor's new "cheesy" smile.  When we say "smile" this is what we get.  It is hilarious!  This boy has had way to many pictures taken of him! :)

It was a fun, but very fast trip.  We are glad to be back home to start another fun week!
